What to Expect During Your Senior Photo Session

If the thought of having your picture taken makes you immediately think...

"I have no idea what to do with my hands."

Congratulations.

You're just like almost every senior I've ever photographed.

The good news?

You don't need to know how to pose, where to stand, or what to do.

That's my job.

Your job is just to show up and be yourself.

We Start Slow

I never expect anyone to jump out of the car looking like they've modeled for magazines their whole life.

The first few minutes are all about getting comfortable.

We'll chat.

Walk around a little.

I'll ask about your plans after graduation, your hobbies, or whatever you're excited about lately.

Before you know it, you'll forget you're even being photographed.

I'll Guide You the Entire Time

One of the biggest worries I hear is...

"I'm going to look awkward."

I promise, I won't leave you standing there wondering what to do.

I'll guide you through everything.

Where to stand.

Where to look.

What to do with your hands.

When to smile.

When to laugh.

When to just relax.

You don't have to memorize poses from Pinterest before your session.

I've got you.

It's More Like Hanging Out Than a Photoshoot

Some of the best photos happen in between the poses.

We're walking.

Talking.

Laughing about something ridiculous.

Maybe making fun of how awkward it feels for the first five minutes.

And honestly...

Those in-between moments usually end up being everyone's favorites.

Outfit Changes Are Easy

If you're bringing two outfits, we'll simply find a good spot to change.

I always build enough time into the session so it never feels rushed.

That means you can relax and enjoy the experience instead of watching the clock.

It's Okay to Be Yourself

You don't have to smile in every photo.

You don't have to look serious in every photo either.

We'll capture a mix.

Some smiling.

Some relaxed.

Some laughing.

The goal is a gallery that actually feels like you.

Jessica's Take

One of my favorite moments happens about halfway through every senior session.

That's when something clicks.

The nervousness fades.

Your shoulders relax.

The smiles become real instead of forced.

And suddenly you're not thinking about the camera anymore.

You're just enjoying the moment.

That's when the magic happens.

Ready to Celebrate Your Senior Year?

Senior year only happens once, and your photos should feel just as exciting as this season of life.

You don't need modeling experience.

You don't need to know how to pose.

You don't even need to love having your picture taken.

Just show up.

I'll take care of the rest, and together we'll create photos that feel natural, fun, and completely you.
