My 2026 Studio Christmas Mini Sessions are a cozy, easy way to get updated photos of your family and kids just in time for Christmas cards, gifts and all the holiday things.
This year's set is simple and classic with a white couch, Christmas trees, warm lights, wrapped presents, lanterns and a cozy white rug. Just enough Christmas without the decorations taking over the photos.
What to Wear for Studio Christmas Minis
Because the set is mostly white, cream, green and warm neutrals, you have plenty of options!
For a classic Christmas look, think deep reds, burgundy, forest green, cream or warm browns.
If you prefer something softer, neutrals will look beautiful too. Cream, beige, tan and earthy tones will keep everything light and cozy.
And yes, Christmas pajamas are absolutely allowed. Especially on the tiny humans.
My biggest tip is always to coordinate instead of matching. Choose a few colors you love and build everyone's outfits around them.
What to Expect
These sessions are meant to be short, simple and fun.
We'll get the Christmas-card-worthy photos, but your kids won't be expected to sit perfectly on the couch and smile at me the entire time.
They can snuggle with you, play, stand, sit, be silly and move around. I'll guide you through everything so you don't have to show up knowing what to do.
The clean setup also keeps the focus where I want it: on your family.
What If My Kids Aren't Feeling It?
That's okay.
Some kids walk in ready to perform. Some need a minute to figure out who I am and why Mom suddenly wants them to smile.
We'll work with them.
I keep things moving, use simple prompts and give kids opportunities to interact instead of expecting them to pose the entire time.
The goal isn't 15 minutes of perfect behavior. It's enough little moments to create a gallery that feels like your family.
